A Suprise from a Friend!

This is my first Birthday Card for this year. It came from a very dear blogger friend of mine. I don't think you are able to read the words under the cupcake .......... they say "100% Sweet"! Inside it says "That's You Happy Birthday". There is a personal note from my friend too which makes it even more special. I don't know if you can tell, but the cupcake is crocheted. I love the card my friend, thank you! It was very sweet of you to think of me! I'm not naming her here, she likes to keep a low profile and is a very private person. She knows who she is and she will know who I am referring to! Thank you again, my friend!!!

Some family member stress me to the MAX............

.........and here I am referring to one of my sis-in-laws. I've written of her before. The one who calls with nothing to say and will call 3-4 times a day just to see what I am doing! Arrggggghhh! Well, Tuesday evening, Doug called to see if I could file an extension for his taxes online since he has not been able to contact Hunter and Harley's mom to see if she filed and claimed them. Each of them had them for 6 months last year. While in the process of doing that, this sis-in-law calls to tell me she needs help. She is trying to file her Dad's 1040A form, just claiming his Social Security in order to receive the Economic Stimulus check. I tell her to go to the IRS site on her computer and look for that particular information, find a company that offers that for free filing and following the instructions and she will be able to complete it. I hang up and resume filing for Doug's extension. She calls at least 5 more times, telling me she can't find it and she needs help. She has to come over this way anyway, so how about if she just stops in and I show her where it is. I say "fine" in a tired, sarcastic way. She shows up, with both her girls, they follow me to the computer room/office and I bring the site up and write the info down on a piece of paper for her, turn around to give it to her, and they are all sitting in chairs and on the floor. She says, "as long as it's right there on your computer, why don't you just do it for me?" I'm steaming inside......I have other things to do, like clean house as I've just worked the last two days and I have to work Wednesday also. I need to do some laundry and take a shower and I would like to be able to relax a little before it is time to go to bed. To make a long story short.........I say 'give me the info'. So she hands me this 1040A form that is all filled out already and just needed a signature. I asked her why she just didn't go to her dads and have him sign it. Her reply, "he wants it filed online and have direct deposit so he can get the stimulus check faster". At this point in time, I'm beginning to think that she told her dad she could do it for him and then after trying, realized that she didn't have a clue as to how to do any of this. I'm furious by this time as it has taken up more of my time than I was willing to give! I begin to enter the info into the online form and get to the part where they ask for the routing number and checking account number. I turn and ask her for it.........and she looks at me with a surprised look on her face and tells me she doesn't have that information. By now, I'm amazed that the steam is not spewing forth out of the top of my head because I am ready to blow a gasket! She makes a quick call to her house and has her hubby get the checking account number and hangs up. I tell her I also need the routing number and she says that he banks the same place that both of us do and all routing numbers for that bank are the same. I tell her they are not, but she insists that they are. In order to get rid of her I enter her routing number in and shoo them out of the house as quickly as possible. I'm sure that this will probably screw up the direct deposit of the stimulus check, but it isn't my fault, I tried to tell her, nor is it my responsibility nor do I even care at this point!

There...........done with rant and vent!!!!

Well, it's Thursday and my stress test is done for another year! I passed with flying colors............all stents and bypasses remain opened and unblocked at this time. Everything looks normal for a heart that has had stents and bypass surgery! And the doctor said I don't have to go back for a whole year. His actual words were, "I'll see you next year for further torturing!" Gee, thanks doc, I can't wait.....NOT!!!

The above picture is similar, but not exactly like the scanner that I went through yesterday. The round end was partially opened and it was shaped like a sideways V and it circulated around my chest very slowly, stopping sometimes to take a scan before moving on. The whole procedure of the scanning takes approximately 20 min. Do you see how wide that table is? That is it! Not very comfortable to lay on for 20 min. with your left hand strapped over and above your head and the right one strapped tightly to the right side of your body. But it is over for another year and since I had my yearly physical in November or December of last year, along with my mammogram, I have a clean bill of health! This is not one of my photos, but one I found on Flickr, so I want to make sure to not take credit for it. I forgot the name on the pictures that I was looking at and I don't feel like going back through the hundreds of photos I had to look at to find this, so that will have to suffice

INSOMNIA

It's 5:22 AM, and I am wide awake. I think Bumpa woke me, inadvertently, when he crawled into bed after getting home from his second shift plus working overtime. I stayed in bed as long as I could but the clock shows what time I got out of bed. I tried to get back to sleep, but I can't see much sense in just tossing and turning and keeping him awake too!

Amber has been visiting this week..........she is on spring break but all the other grand kids don't start spring break until tomorrow. She will have to return home at least by Sunday in order to go to school. She has been with her Daddy for the last two nights.........she doesn't get to see him as much as she would like to. I don't like having to share her either, but after all, he is the Dad! And she does need to spend one on one time with him and that's what today was for her! I'm sure she had a great time! I still have some things I would like to do with her before she has to go home, but we'll have to talk to her Mom and see how much time she has left to stay with us.

Our youngest daughter, Rachel, went to the hospital last night with symptoms of a heart attack, but all turned out well and she has a follow up appointment with her regular doctor on Friday.

And Doug's fiancee, Virginia, has just been told by her doctor that she has an enlarged thyroid and her blood work shows that something is amiss. This is not a good thing, especially when one is in the first stages of pregnancy. I don't know exactly what is wrong, but am hoping that whatever it is, they are able to control it with medication. She is very concerned and upset that something will be wrong with the baby. She has a book that says thyroid problems can lead to all kinds of deformities and problems. She needs to talk to her doctor and not jump to conclusions.........but I'm sure that's easier said than done!

I think I'll go and read a while and see if I get sleepy. I know I'm going to be dragging all day if I don't get some more sleep!
